Bovaer® is being introduced into cattle feed across the world to reduce their methane emissions. Why are we reducing methane emissions, a natural part of cattle’s digestive processes? Well, it’s all about the climate scam. Solving a non-problem with a lucrative, but possibly dangerous and definitely profitable for some, synthetic feed additive.
The graphic below is from a recent article on Michael Darby’s Substack. He says:
‘Nobody has challenged the simple truth of my diagram (below) proving that grazing animals cannot increase carbon dioxide levels. Any attempt to inhibit the natural functions of sheep, cattle, goats or rabbits has no scientific basis, will never influence the climate and has some other motivation.’

Back in November 2023 Coles expanded their use of Bovaer® following two successful trials. At that time, it had already been approved for use by the European Food Safety Authority in more than 50 countries. Both Coles and Woolworths have been using Bovaer® since 2022. What about Aldi? In the UK, Aldi is one of the major retailers who are partnering with Arla Foods to trial the use of Bovaer®, so it’s likely that Aldi Australia are also trialling Bovaer®.
Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) advises ‘To date, all research on Bovaer®10 has confirmed that the product is safe for consumers, as well as handlers (when standard safety practices are adhered to).’
However, the studies MLA quote on their website:
MLA are have already spent $1.M on trials and are spending a further $8M on trials, totalling $9.1M to date. But what if those trials do not establish it is safe for human consumption?
Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) is the declared industry marketing body and industry research body of the Australian Meat Live-stock industry. MLA receives funding from transaction levies paid on livestock sales, the Australian Government and voluntary contributions from industry partners.
We’ve all heard its ‘safe and effective’ and we are following ‘the science’ claims from our Government over the last five years and we’ve seen where that got us. Remember, that the mRNA vaccines are also being tested on livestock in Australia.
The graphic below features sections of the FDA safety warnings on Bovaer®, based on research into its use in lactating dairy cows only; including that the ingredient 3-nitrooxypropanol may damage male fertility and reproductive organs. Image source: Craig Kelly on X.com

I’ll be giving Coles beef that comes from cattle dosed up with the toxic animal drug BOVAER a miss
In a win-win for consumers and local farmers, the answer is to source and support your local producers and all the companies that have resisted the agenda and kept their food production as nature intended.
This is our best way to fight the global supermarkets and their misguided attempts to control the food supply. Paddock to plate options, once you are assured they are free of this additive and are staying as close to nature as possible, will provide you and your family with nutritious, cost effective truly sustainable produce; while keeping the profits in your local area.
For dairy there are a number of producers that have publicly declared they are not using Bovaer®, including many of the smaller regional dairies around the country. Support them if you want to retain the freedom to choose what is in your food. Note, that any products marked ‘Australian Organic’ do not contain this additive.
And you can also support Real Farma Day on February 15, 2025.
Senator Gerard Rennick has asked the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) how they regulate livestock feed additives. APVMA is the Australian Government regulator of agricultural and veterinary chemical products.
According to dsm-firmenich, ‘Bovaer® is authorized and available for sale in over 55+ countries, including the EU/EEA, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Mexico, Pakistan, Switzerland Turkey and the United Kingdom (per April 2024).’ It ‘reduces methane emissions in dairy cows by 30% and in beef cattle by 45%, on average.’
dsm-firmenich was a merger in 2023 between Dutch chemical company Royal DSM and Swiss flavours and fragrance group Firmenich. They have four complementary businesses:1. Perfumery and beauty 2. Taste, Texture and Health 3. Health, Nutrition and Care and 4. Animal Nutrition and Health.
This is a company to keep an eye on – they tell us they have a strong ‘sustainability’ focus. They ‘Deliver scientific breakthroughs that address the most pressing needs of people, climate, and nature.’ So, are they working with the ‘sustainability goals’ of the UN which are more about global governance and control; tackling the ‘global challenges’ by the WEF; and implementing the ‘One Health’ strategy by the WHO? And who are their major shareholders? We’re not sure yet. Watch this space.
Despite all of the information coming out on the harm caused by mRNA in humans, Australia continues to provide them for people and test them on livestock. Will they ever learn?
Here’s a few things that are going on:
Well, while everyone was talking about Bovaer® the Victorian Premier opened the Moderna mRNA manufacturing plant in Victoria on 4 December 2024. ‘It is the only country in the Southern Hemisphere, with pandemic scale end-to-end mRNA manufacturing capability.’ Read more.
